Wind turbine inspection by drone, and a work order a person approves

← Back to the article

Simulated. The scene is computer-generated and the findings shown are the ones planted in it; no model produced them.

A drone inspects an invented wind turbine with its rotor stopped and the blades pitched: each blade’s four sides from root to tip, then the nacelle and the tower. Planted findings are listed with a severity: leading-edge erosion, a trailing-edge crack, lightning damage near the tip receptor, a delamination patch, an oil streak below the nacelle and corrosion at a tower flange. Below the 3D view, an O&M agent console shows the next step: a turbine alarm, the evidence, a drafted work order, and an engineer who approves it before anything is scheduled.

From a turbine alarm to an approved work order

Simulated. The alarm, the readings, the weather and every word the agent writes are scripted for this demo; no model runs here. The drone findings it reads are the ones planted in the 3D view above. Every step is recorded as you go.

What this demo shows

An inspection, and what happens next

  • Each blade inspected on four sides, root to tip, then the nacelle and the tower.
  • Six planted findings, each with a place on the turbine and a severity.
  • An agent that gathers the evidence and drafts a work order with a likely cause, parts and a weather window.
  • A named engineer who approves it before anything is scheduled, and a record of every step.

What is simulated

All of it

The turbine, the drone, the flight and both camera views are drawn in your browser, and the findings are the ones this page planted. The alarm, readings, forecast and the agent’s text are scripted. No trained model runs here, and nothing on this page was tested on a real turbine.

Limits to keep in mind

A picture of the job, not a result

The thermal view is a simple model, not a measurement. Severity is this demo’s own scale. The wind limits in the console are assumptions for the demo; a site uses its own. There are no accuracy, speed or cost figures here, because nothing was measured.

AgentAnywhere · ShepHertz. The turbine, the site and every name on this page, including the engineer’s, are invented.
